I thought it was a typical Asian dinner. The almond chicken was great! The sweet and sour chicken was also good. The fried rice was good. The staff and friendly and patient with our 2 1/2-year-old son. View all feedback.
What Fidel Kertzmann doesn't like about Bamboo Garden:
The food was fresh, tasteful, yet a little underwhelming. All food was good, yet not great. The restaurant was very clean, and the wait staff was very courteous, kind, and appreciative. They're open till 10 p.m daily, which is amazing for the weekend. Family Garden Restaurant in central Richland is preferable. View all feedback.
Perfect portion size, not so much that I needed to over eat or get a box and just enough to fill me up. Not your standard American gluttonous table covering portion sizes. Service was amaze balls. Little old mamma San takes my order and yells in the back “hey stop sleep we have customer you cook food now!!” Food came out fresh and hot and the lady graced me with some funny stories about working night shift in a sew shop in Seattle and how working nights made her skinny but made her sister fat”as a water cow”. Place was clean all the way around. Bathroom smelled like a garden which was pretty refreshing. Economic and friendly. Tasty and clean. Best in Tri-City area that I have experienced.
I REALLY want to give Bamboo Garden a better review, I really do. The atmosphere was ok, the service by both waiters was GREAT, but the food wasn't so great. The fried rice was very dry, and the chicken was more breading than anything. I provided feedback to this effect, and nobody offered to make it right with me. They could have offered as little as a 10% discount, or made up some fresh rice that wasn't dry and sent it home with me, but they didn't. They knew it was my first time there as well. Other than that, service was great and friendly but they need to work on their cooking for sure.

Had a combo dinner, hoping to take leftovers back to my hotel. The pork chow mein was so greasy, and the only pork in it was the little bits of chopped up BBQ Pork sprinkled on top for garnish. The soft noodles tasted like stale pan oil. The Pork fried rice was bland, and again the only pork was the few bits of garnish. The Almond Chicken did not have much flavor besides the old oil it fried in. I was very disappointed with the whole greasy meal. But I do have to say, my server and the other young man working were very nice and provided top rate service! I only wish the food was half as good as they were!
I had occasion to bring family for dinner. It was just a small group of 4 senior citizens. I was disappointed to have them charge more money for a substitution of soup that they charge the same price for! The menu said an additional cost 'might be charged ' the one two of us ordered was elsewhere in the menu but at the same exact price as what came with the meal. They weren 't busy. One other table had 2 diners. The soup that I was already unhappy about having to pay more to get, when it came I mentioned he 'd forgotten the crackers. The waiter said it didn 't include crackers!!! The young man who waited on us couldn 't have cared less. He didn 't do himself or his employer any favors by being cheap or lazy. We all sensed the now tainted atmosphere. The Owners should know that I 'm the one who suggested we go to Bamboo Garden. I expected more than just good food. I expected you to care that we 'd get a pleasant atmosphere and meal. At the end of the meal the owner came out. The waiter must have mentioned to her that he 'd refused to give us crackers with our soup. They seemed stingy and I tried to suggest as much. She offered us crackers and as many as we wanted! Too little too late. It just doesn 't work! Maybe he is family. Maybe they don 't take care of their employees. I don 't know. Two of our group were there for the first time. I doubt they 'll be sharing with all their friends and neighbors the wonderful time at your establishment. Expect customers to take the time to tell the world when the service isn 't excellent. I hope those 4 crackers make up for future lost revenue. Get the message?
