Stay was wonderful! Great location with just a quick walk to town along the water, and close to the resorts for weddings. Room had everything you need, including AC which is not as common in Maine hotels. The staff was very communicative the entire booking process. They called one week out to let us know about the cleaning protocol and to remind to book reservations at the restaurants as it was peak season. They call... View all feedback.
My friends and i stayed here last week to kick off the summer in kennebunkport, so lovely ! they give fresh fruit and yummy muffins for breakfast, the rooms were very clean and the inn itself is so cute, the staff was also sweet and attentive. they provide bikes and canoes, so we biked into the town square to explore. i plan on returning later this summer
First time in Kennebunkport for a wedding, and now hoping to visit again and stay at Mabel’s House. Great place!
I am usually Leary of bed and breakfast locations, but our stay was amazing. Check in is easy, parking and location are convenient, and most importantly, the rooms are extremely comfortable and clean. We loved our stay and I highly recommend it if you’ll be staying in the area.
We absolutely loved our time at Mabel 's House! We stayed in the two bedroom Cove Side Cottage, which was adorable and perfect for our needs. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. While check in was contactless, someone stopped by shortly after we arrived to make sure everything went smoothly. Someone else came by later to ask us about any food allergies to prepare for the continental breakfast, which consisted of yogurt, fruit, and fresh pastries every day, served in personalized paper bags with our room number on them (so cute! . After the first day when I asked for Splenda for my tea and they didn 't have any on hand, the next morning there was a whole dish of Splenda in addition to the rest of the sugar so thoughtful! We loved the location and the fact that it was on the water with the tidal estuarine cove. I went kayaking with the free rentals they offered and it was so peaceful. Plus, Colony Beach was right down the road, where we enjoyed watching the sunset on our final night. The shops across the street were fantastic don 't miss Dannah for Men! And Dock Square was a short drive away. We also ended up eating at Mabel 's Lobster Claw (the restaurant right next to the property for both lunch dinner. The calamari chicken scampi linguine were divine!! Long story short, Mabel 's House is a truly incredible place to stay and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kennebunkport!
Lovely stay at Mabel’s House, while traveling from Washington DC! This is a great location if you want to be a little distant from the main town square but still walkable to everything. We enjoyed our very simple but tastefully updated room; clean white linens, comfy bed and a recently renovated bathroom. The breakfast in the morning was perfect to start the day, with yogurts, banana bread, fresh fruit and coffee. The property sits on a small lagoon and Adirondack chairs were great for lounging after a day exploring. Best of all (in our opinion) were the beach cruisers available to guests for use. We love to bike and it’s a great way to explore a new town. We took the bikes into town, along the coastal road leading to the Bush compound and beyond, and through the neighborhoods to check out the area. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. We had a great visit and can’t wait to return to Kennebunkport!
