The Burleigh - KENNEBUNKPORT

Good drinks and service. Everything else was disappointing. We stayed in the gondola at the restaurant and it was very dirty. Lots of dust, used blankets, crumbs on the seats, tablecloth had holes and rips all over it, and the floor was dirty and had old fries on it from the night before. When the food came out mine was cold, but my partners was hot. Due to cleanliness issues, I will never go back.

Enjoyed a wonderful evening sitting outside on the patio at the Burliegh! The lobster bao buns, shrimp tacos, Cesar salad, grilled flatbread pizza and halibut were DELICIOUS, well prepared and served with enthusiasm! Looking forward to returning this season!

Overall, The Burleigh was not worth the money. The food was not terrific when compared to other places of similar price. We've been to many places where we spent less and had a much better time. The tables were wobblily, the live music was loud and not that good, and we were sat way too close to other tables. The only thing I'll say was good was the service. I think I had my water filled 5 times haha. Beyond that, I do not recommend this restaurant unless you like basil in your cocktails and overall lackluster taste.

The decor was beautiful and we reserved earlier to be able to view the ceiling and wall botanicals. The stuffed haddock with whipped potatoes and roasted carrots tasted amazing. I had a blueberry crush cocktail and my sister had another margarita cocktail that were delicious and fresh tasting. Her burger on a brioche bun with pickled onions was very good too. Worth the drive.

I have been to the Burleigh many times. However not since a menu redo, a new chef, and a dining room transformation. What a lovely visit. The food was amazing. The room was welcoming and fun. The staff fabulous as always. I'll be back. ?
