Their kids are usually there and they are some of the sweetest girls ever. I miss this place!

The friendly couple who owned... read more On a cold winter day, I decided to stop by this restaurant. My first impression was that it was a hole-in-the-wall establishment. The friendly couple who owned the place struck up a pleasant conversation with me. The restaurant was clean, though a bit run down with a slightly musty smell in the air. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken, which arrived quickly and piping hot. The rice was cooked perfectly, but I found the main dish to be rather bland and simple. It consisted of chicken, peanuts, celery, carrots, and oil. The flavor only seemed to come through once I reached the residual oils at the bottom of the dish. While I'm not sure if I will return, the welcoming family who ran the restaurant made me feel at home.

Every dish we tried was outstanding, especially the sweet and sour sauce. The owner is incredibly kind and lovely. If you're in Kenmare, be sure to check this place out!
