Kind of tough to find just driving by, but worth checking out. Looks like they have live binds and board games going on with communal tables as well as standard issue. Decided to try this with friends recently. Had read on-line reviews and most pretty positive. Huge selection of board games to play if one chooses. Quite an interesting, very well priced menu - only negative for me is food could have used more seasoning - had to ask for salt and pepper as none on the table. Also size of steak pie was a bit small for a dinner portion and the mushroom soup could have had a thicker texture. But all in all, pretty pleased. Definitely crowd is much younger yet still felt welcomed by staff. Quite a hipsterish/close to goth vibe. Could use a pop of colour. Has live music certain nights as per ad. Would visit again
I went to munin's post for the first time to play board games and was quite surprised. The beer/liquor menu is extensive, inexpensive, and best of all different than any other restaurant in the area (the serve mead of all things!). They have tons of board games and the food was fantastic, and again very reasonably priced. I ate and drank for much less than I could many other places, and I thoroughly enjoyed everything that was out in front of me. We also had a bit of an issue with slower service, but were apologized to many times by staff for the wait because of understaffing issues, and we never had to wait for our food.
I came to Muninn's Post with friends to have a few drinks and play board games on a Thursday night. The atmosphere was fun, yet chill, and the board game selection was extensive! However, the most pleasant surprise was the food! As a vegetarian, I was so appreciative of the vegetarian options - not just regular dishes without the meat. I enjoyed my chickpea quinoa wrap with onion soup (the soup was unreal). My carnivorous boyfriend thought it was so good, in fact, that he ordered the same thing for himself. A rare occurrence! My friends also enjoyed their food: beef burger, fries, and spring fritters. The burger and beer deal is so affordable yet quality was not compromised. This place has some of the most affordable pints in the city; local craft beer options, as well. My only complaint would be the service, as it was quite slow and inconsistent. We waited for nearly 30 minutes to get our table wiped down. However, staff members were incredibly courteous and apologized for being short-staffed; a challenge most patrons understand completely! We will definitely return.
We've definitely become regulars here. Everyone should go out and support this local business. The beer selection is an amazing mix of local breweries and only $6 for a pint. The food is phenomenal, made fresh, and cheaper than anywhere else I know of. They have an awesome mix of board games to keep you entertained. But best of all, they let my baby in. We bring our own high chair (or just the stroller) and even though you wouldn't think it in a pub they are so friendly to him. One time we were there on Tuesday and found out it was stand-up comedy night. The comedians were great and had a blast integrating a baby into their routine.
