Tried this place for the first time. Staff were super friendly and the Terriyaki Salmon box was super yummy, with a mixed variety of sides! Although I was very full, I would probably still love some rice to be included with it View all feedback.

Arrived at 6.45pm and still waiting for food (waiting for more than a hour) even though the restaurant is empty. Staff are in there own world. Food finally arrives lacking a key ingredient, 'flavour'. I notice that the kitchen is completely empty the staff probably wanted to go home as soon as possible thus the missing ingredients. With the price they charge for 'so called' gourmet food your better off not eating. Hu... View all feedback.
First time visit was very enjoyable, and we would certainly go back. Lots of seating options inside and out and parking readily available. Great affordable lunchtime menu to choose from cooked and served by Japanese staff. A great experience.
We dine regularly at MakiMoto when craving Japanese. The staff are friendly, and whilst can sometimes be hard to understand, they always make sure that you are well looked after. The food on offer is very authentic and has many options. Highly recommend to anyone in the area that is after a Japanese meal :
Tasty Japanese food cooked fresh for a good price with decent serving sizes. Note: Not served or seated at a BBQ table.
Whilst in Sydney, it is difficult to organise a venue accessable to people from all over Sydney. Add to that, different food preferences, and ages, with easy parking and accommodating staff. A friend booked this restaurant for us (17 people) for a 30th. It did not disappoint (apart from the fact that the draft beer tap wasn 't working). The food was excellent, the service timely and attentive, and the ability to be flexible extremely comforting. But of course, all of that would be a waste if the food wasn 't up to scratch. It was good, large group Japanese food, especially for those unaccustomed to Japanese food. The children were well catered for, vegetarians delighted, even Rib eaters satisfied. Would recommend it as a early evening catch up location with surprisingly good food to boot.
Took the family along and the food is pretty good, nice and fresh with plenty of selection available. Sashimi and Sushi were fresh and had plenty of flavour and pretty good value as well. The tempura was bulky though and the pieces were too big which made it greasy and undercooked. Fair price for the meal and service was slow but it was busy, will definitely be back.
