We hired Sweet Memories for our wedding and were blown away with the food and desserts. We had so many guests say that was some of the best food they have ever had. Susan was such a joy to work with and truly makes you feel like family. Everything was exactly what we had wanted and hoped for. View all feedback.
What Badass Productions doesn't like about Sweet Memories Cake Catering:
I reached out for a quote on a wedding cake 9/6/22 via The Knot, 4/6/23 via Wedding Wire, on their website 4/7/23, and by phone somewhere between September 2022 and April 2023 and have never heard back. My wedding is in June and I officially give up on the bakery down the street. So much for Keep it in Keller . View all feedback.
Loved the OREO Cake I Got ! Very professional and nice ! Sweet lady ! I highly recommend!
Walked in today looking for a bday cake. After telling me she could have it ready by the date I needed it and after hearing what I wanted, she told me she didn 't have time to help me come up with a birthday cake for my 9 yr old daughter, (guess it was too complicated for her taste) and that they stay busy and that she was late for a tasting (literally telling me I don 't want to serve you). All you had to do was tell me that up front instead of making a potential customer feel unimportant. That would of been a better choice and I may have returned and brought you more business. It was a simple space themed cake for a 9 yr old! Wrong business to be in if you aren 't willing to help someone create a sweet memory .. I advise anyone looking to go elsewhere. Oh but hey, if you 're getting married or something like that, she might make time for you seeing she likes the sign! There wasn 't a price I wouldn 't pay by the way..it was for a very special girl on a very special day. Luckily, I found a bakery close by there and will go with them! They actually wanted my business!
I strongly advise against using Susan for your catering events. My husband and I first met her at a wedding expo, and we thought she was so nice. Her cakes tasted good, and she really won us over because she was kind and knowledgeable. Fast forward to tasting day. The food was okay, but she mentioned she had someone new in the kitchen, and that it wouldn 't be like that the day of the wedding. We tried her cakes, and they were really good, so we decided to move forward. When it came time to discuss the invoice, she made us aware that the 25% gratuity fee was not, in fact, a gratuity. That it was a service charge. She said that she uses that money to pay her employees. Keep in mind, she also was charging us an hourly rate for each of her employees. Then, at the end, she mentioned, and usually we get a tip, whatever God puts on your heart to tip at the end of the night. Well, she made sure to tell us right before the wedding that the usual til is $100. (We had every intention of not tipping, but at the end of the day, I tipped because I wasn 't sure if her staff would actually get the money we paid). The service fee was charged on everything... The $1000 in disposable dishware (which I removed from her invoice because we got it on Amazon for $350, I including the items for the bar, so we got more for WAY less). And she also included the linen rental in the service fee charge. So, we ended up using a different company for linens.Fast forward to wedding day. The chicken wasn 't breaded as we discussed. This may have been my fault, because I asked for the chicken reggiano like she had at the event venue at their open house. It wasn 't the same. Both my husband and I thought the food was decent, also neither of us ate the entire day. So anything probably would have tasted good. When we got home from our honeymoon and I spoke with family, they were blunt and honest and said the food was horrible. The worst part? We ordered a specific cake flavor for the grooms cake. My husband was so excited for it. And 10-11 days prior to the event (which is when she needed the final information), I emailed her to ask for chocolate icing on the grooms cake. Well... Day of the wedding, we have two white cakes. And the grooms cake is a cheesecake, and two other layers of some cake, which is not what we ordered. She laughed about it and said that with the storm (5 days prior to our wedding) his cake didn 't come in.We emailed her a few days after the wedding expressing disappointment. Needless to say, she didn 't respond.Only use her if you like paying way too much for less than quality service. And I hope the thousands of extra dollars we paid actually went to her staff. Because they should have each made a very nice sum from our wedding considering how much we paid in tip, service fee, and their hourly rate.Stay away. You 'll enjoy your wedding day more if you have a caterer you can trust.
Beautiful mini desserts and display. On time and excellent customer service. One caveat: I did not request an itemized list prior to contracting vendor which is 100% my responsibility) However, I was shocked to see final bill, which included $550 of intangibles $141 tax; $300+ service charge; almost $100 credit card usage fee) In addition, basic coffee set up was $350 for 100 cups), etc. I 'thought ' I knew how much total would be approximately... I was way off.I would simply suggest you ask for an itemized estimate incl fees prior to contracting service to avoid any surprises. Again, a live and learn lesson for me.
A great place to get a basic wedding cake! We only needed a small cake to ceremoniously cut and Sweet Memories was perfect for that. We were even able to purchase a faux third tier to help with proportions on our cake stand. Very reasonably priced for a basic buttercream-frosted cake. Only reason for 4/5 stars is that the cake itself was a bit dry when we cut into it on our wedding day, but since we weren't serving it, it wasn't that big of a deal.
