Description

A beloved fast-casual burger spot in Keller, serving Nolan Ryan beef patties and a celebrated Big Dog, plus standout hand-cut fries with a sweet-salty seasoning. Burgers are made to order with plenty of fresh, customizable toppings and wheat-bun options; onion rings and other sandwiches are reliable. The simple, colorful dining room feels casual and sporty, with ample parking and lunchtime crowds. Service can take a bit longer and prices run somewhat high (notably a small takeout/menu price discrepancy), but most diners find the quality worth the wait.

Best burger in Keller area. Great burger, great free, and friendly staff.

I really enjoy their fresh-cut fries! I ordered a turkey burger while my husband had a cheeseburger, and we both loved our meals. However, it was a bit on the pricey side. Even though we just shared an order of fries and only had water to drink, our bill came to $15. On the plus side, I appreciated the option of a wheat bun!

You might have noticed that I have a fondness for Chapps burgers, indulging in them about every three months. It's one of the few burger chains that I genuinely enjoy, and I've never been tempted to try anything besides their burgers; they're just that good. Each burger is made fresh upon ordering, so don’t expect a quick serve—preparations usually take around ten minutes. Lunchtime can get quite busy, and by the time I was ready to leave, nearly every table was occupied. The burgers are delicious, cooked to medium well unless specified otherwise. I opted for onion rings, which have consistently been served hot, juicy, and crispy at every location I’ve visited, and this Chapps in Keller was no exception. This particular Chapps has a simpler decor compared to the others I've been to, featuring fewer decorative items on the walls—mostly just some photos of Nolan Ryan, as they use his natural beef. The bright walls are painted in tangerine, mauve, and turquoise, creating a vibrant ambiance. There was a TV, but it was off during my visit, which didn’t bother me at all. Additionally, there is plenty of parking available, which is definitely a bonus. I highly recommend Chapps; they might even be starting to recognize me as a regular! By the way, I want to inform one of the other reviewers that they now offer wheat buns!

We feel that Chapps has the perfect recipe for burgers. Excellent seasoning, on the salty side, with plenty of fresh ingredients as toppings (which you can choose from). I tend to break from the norm, and ask for raw onions over grilled, but otherwise I stick to the usual cheese, lettuce, pickles, and mustard. The fresh baked buns are also quite good. A single cheeseburger is more than enough, and I don't even think they offer a double (believe me, that would be way too much). They have a smaller burger called a Baby Chapps, and naturally Mrs. RJG goes for that, plus the Baby Chapps comes with fries as part of the price (otherwise it's extra). I usually eschew fries in general, and eat a handful from the spouse's plate and they are hand cut, fried to perfection, and very tasty. They also have very good hot dogs and chicken sandwiches that we've tried in the past. They keep the menu simple, always a plus as far as we're concerned. <br/ <br/ We've been coming here now for almost 13 years, and it has yet to let us down. Easy recommendation.

Keller Favorite. Just made another stop at Chapps before high school football last night and was reminded what a good burger they have. A thick, juicy, Nolan Ryan beef burger with plenty of good topping choices and well fried, but tender fresh cut fries. I'll admit though, my favorite is their Big Dog with Chili and Cheese! A lightly toasted bun, what must be an all beef hot dog and then great tasting chili with melted cheese, grilled onions and mustard to put it over the top! It's a knife and form meal, as they hold the big dog together with toothpicks. Go for the burgers go back for the Big Dog!
