This r... read more I visited this restaurant in September 2021 for lunch. I sat outside because of Covid. Health protocols are not followed in Tunisia and that is the rule. This restaurant was no exception to that rule. One thing bothered me and upset me very much. The owner of this restaurant was very mean to cats. He would not feed them despite the availability of food leftovers from customers. Cats on the restaurant premises were hungry and crying for food from customers. Not only this is animal cruelty but also it is very disrespectful of the clients who are solicited by hungry cats. I was very uncomfortable sitting eating while I knew the cat was going hungry and insisting on asking me for food because the owner would not feed it. :

I can’t recommend the “seafood kammounia” highly enough. Not surprised it’s the most popular meal on the menu. We loved everything else from the seafood pasta to the monkfish and even the side salads, including the mechouia salad with homemade tuna. So yummy! The place is low key on a casual street, and almost goes unnoticed. But certainly one of the best restaurants in town.
