After hitting up Weltenburger we got back into town and it was getting late. We were looking for a hotel but the town is so small that there is little web presence. After walking by this shop we stopped in for a snack and a beer. The staff were super friendly and helpful, we asked about getting lodging and they even called us a cab.
Baran Döner has the best Turkish food in Kelheim. For 11 years I've come here when I'm in the region. The operators and chefs are super friendly and attentive. Last year there was even the Golden Prize for DLG's award-winning top quality! Congratulations! You're right to receive the award.

He doesn't exactly jump at the chance to accommodate special requests, but he does what he can. The price-performance ratio is perfectly acceptable. The only downside was a couple of so-called regulars who were already quite drunk at 1 p.m. and kept hitting on everyone.
