Ungó is my favorite of this gas station Burger Spots. The burgers are so good! The meat is tasteful, toppings are great. The hot dogs are amazing. Get one with the works. The frits can come with a large spice mix.
Friendly service, spoke English, accepted credit card and excellent icy hot dogs ice cream.
The good: Excellent quality ice cream! The pizza was decent, ancarryd the hot dogs a bit of a let down. I was expecting Danish Rød pølse. They weren't, although they were okay. The bad: their website lists sandwiches, pizza, fish chips, etc. While we were there it was two slices of pizza and a drink. No other options. We suspect it's because it was off-season. The odd: There are no tables, it's carryout. But they're not set up to bag the food for carryout. We found ourselves carrying open paper trays with food on it, in 50mph winds and freezing air temps. Mind you, the locals didn't seem put out by it at all. And you know? We didn't either. Mint chocolate chip ice cream at 28F air temp!
It’s quick and cheap and bad for you just like its American counterparts. You can have burgers, pizza, hot dogs or fish all with fries. The ice cream shop next door is pretty good. I like trying these kinds of places, but you can find lots of other choices in Keflavík. Good service.
