Large layout with bar and dinning room seating, plus an outdoor patio. Patio was closed though as there doesn't seem to be a fire pit or heaters and it was a little cool. The service is friendly and fairly prompt. Beer and wine is limited to standard options, nothing great or local. The food is well made comfort style, nothing too healthy offered. GiGi's is a worth a visit if in the area.

However,... read more If you're in the area, definitely check out this place! I understand why some reviewers mentioned that the prices for standard items seemed a bit high. However, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere is both cute and cozy—It felt like I was visiting a friend’s home. While waiting for my food, I had the opportunity to explore the patio and backyard, where I took some fantastic photos! (The patio seats filled up shortly after I took my picture with a large family who was also enjoying the space). The chicken quesadilla I ordered was quite filling! Surprisingly, our group's favorite was the meatloaf, which had a slightly sweet flavor and was very delicious! This really seems like an ideal spot to relax and share some drinks. Although it's a bit out of the way for me, my group had a wonderful time here. Thank you!

Charming restaurant, hometown country feel with a large dining room, a full bar, a huge lighted outdoor patio on the river, and even a little bakery. Prices were reasonable and the homemade dishes were great. Interesting variety of dishes from American to Italian and more. Smaller towns don't always cater to vegetarian diets but Gigi's had a lot of options. I went with vegetarian lasagna which to my (pleasant) surprise was a vegetable lasagna baked in some kind of bechamel cream sauce. It was served in a warm dish, very flavorful, hearty, and filling. My husband got French onion soup (in a beef broth) and chicken cordon bleu, both of which he said were so satisfying, and I stole most of his fries, which were thick cut and just right amount of crispy. Topped off with fresh baked apple pie a la mode, we nearly rolled ourselves out the door in a delicious food coma. Also our server was attentive, fast, and very sweet. Highly recommend this restaurant if you live nearby or are traveling in area as we were. Very close to Ausable Chasm and a nice place to stop for lunch, dinner, or baked goods on the way to Canada too.
