My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant for the first time and were disappointed with our experience. It took an hour and a half to receive our food, which we found to be unacceptable considering there were only a few other parties in the restaurant at the time. The garlic tofu and Rendang dishes we ordered were delicious, but the portion size for the Rendang was not worth the $20 price tag. Additionally, our order was mixed up with another table's, causing further delays. Despite being promised a discount for their mistake, we had to wait even longer for our bill which only had a $10 discount. Overall, we were unimpressed with the food, service, and overall experience at the restaurant. We also found a used tampon in the bathroom, which was shocking and unsanitary. We will not be returning to Indo and do not recommend this restaurant to others.
Absolutely Love her food!!! And her Rendang is some of the best. Have been here several times, and have honestly never gotten a dish I didn 't like. The flavors are very well developed, and you can tell how much effort was put into each dish. Owner/chef could not be more welcoming. During our dinner she came out to check on us, and then brought us a special drink she had been simmering for 3 to 4 hours. Told us it was something that her mother made for her as a child, and she wanted to share it with us. It was amazing, and unlike anything else I 'd ever drank. It had Ginger and citrus and some spices, hard to even describe, but amazing! It is the picture of the cup that I posted. Photos posted are of the dinner for two meal option. Gives you an assortment of things to try. But I didn 't post the shredded mango salad that came first, we ate it too fast to get a photo. Lol And then the two dessert options we chose. Last thing I will say is 'Don 't let the outside of the building fool you '. It looks like a grocery store or market, but once you walk through the door, it 's a full restaurant and looks nice inside. Definitely a hidden gem worth trying.
Great restaurant with great food. The chef, Melik, is awesome at what she does. If you're looking for authentic Indonesian food, or just something exotic different than the everyday norm, check out INDO.
Food was really good. We ordered sate daging beef date) , Indonesian beef soup, Java chicken , Indonesian fried rice, spring rolls. Everything are delicious. Will definitely come in again for my beef rendang and fried Java chicken ! I'm orginally from Malaysia and able to taste food somewhat like malay food in Malaysia makes me happy ! I heard the chef , Melik's husband, Nik told me that his wife cook everything from scratch. So, sometimes the wait time can be longer. Hey! To eat good food, it's worth a wait !! Anyway, overall, my daughter loves the sate and beef soup while I'm enjoying their curry beef and java chicken .
The wait for our food was extremely long and frustrating. We waited for over an hour with no sign of our food, and our waiter did not check on us during this time. We had to flag him down just to get drinks because he did not offer any when we ordered. Other tables who arrived after us were already being served their food. Eventually, we decided to take our order to go after waiting for 1 hour and 30 minutes without receiving anything. We left the restaurant with our bags after spending $65 on food. It would have been quicker for me to go to the grocery store, cook a 5 course meal at home, and eat it than to wait for our food here. This was our first and last time dining at this establishment.
