Applebee's Grill
Description
Applebee's has experienced significant fluctuations in quality and service, largely attributed to post-COVID staffing challenges. While some patrons remark on friendly staff and enjoyable food, others express frustration over slow service and inconsistent meal preparation. Many diners advise allowing extra time for their meals, as delays can be lengthy even when the restaurant is not full. Despite some positive experiences at the bar, where service is described as engaging, the overall sentiment indicates a need for improvement in both food quality and staff attentiveness. Diners suggest waiting until the establishment can fully staff before returning consistently.

My husband ordered the ribs, but they were dry and lacked flavor. It's a shame the chef isn't allowed to use his own recipes. I think it's time for some changes.
I waited 25 minutes to be seated while the staff just stood around looking at each other. When I finally got a table, I ordered drinks, but they were out of lemonade—no big deal. I then ordered appetizers and my main course. Over an hour later, I finally received my food, but the appetizers never arrived. I asked to cancel the appetizers since they didn't come. The waitress didn’t apologize for the oversight and simply dropped off our food before disappearing again. After waiting another 20 minutes to pay, I discovered I was still charged $3.99 for the lemonade that I never received. We decided to just pay and leave, having already spent 2 hours and 10 minutes there. I've been a loyal customer of this restaurant for over 10 years, visiting several times a year and always ordering the same item. I wish I had taken a photo of the food because the presentation was disappointing—your franchise would be embarrassed. I won't be returning, so don’t waste your time sending me a link. If I'm frustrated enough to leave a review (which I rarely do), I'm definitely not coming back. I just want people to be aware because I never expected such poor service here. This has always been my go-to spot—until now.
The pasta was served cold, the chicken was somewhat warm, the breadstick was warmer, and the plate itself was hot.
Spinach, Artichoke dip burnt and the chips, potatoes, broccoli and steak super salty. Ask for remark without soooo much salt. So the new dish comes out without any seasoning on it. Broccoli dried out and burnt for round two, at least the first one was moist but had a ton of salt. This is not healthy for people with high blood pressure. The table next to us got fries that were still frozen. They, too, complained of to much salt. We do not eat much at Applebee's and this does not make me want to either.
