We drove from Friedrichshafen, Germany, specifically to go to Le Caveau, one of my favorite restaurants ever. Due to horrible traffic in Germany we almost arrived too late. But Corinne seated us and we had a lovely dinner, with the perfect local wine. I prefer common food, my wife is more haute cuisine, and we were both extremely satisfied. I'm even anticipating making a trip this Fall to stay in Alsace so we can vis... View all feedback.
What Ludmilla Ritter doesn't like about LE CAVEAU:
View all feedback.
Very charming, old world style restaurant. No one speaks English and the menu is in French, so we got really confused on what was the fare. The food was good, just wish we had a better grasp of what was on the menu.
We discover this little restaurant just walking by...So happy we did ! The food was excellent, the service was friendly. It is a pleasure to feel home and at Le Caveau, you fell home!
Tucked away at the Albert Schweitzer end of town. The specialty is Choucroute , Alsatian sauerkraut dishes. Large portions are the norm, you won 't leave hungry here. Sadly, their fish dishes are flooded with sauce. The desserts have mountains of chantilly cream. Interesting to try but there are many other restaurants in town that are much better.
