Tavern Koutoukaki - Kavala

Had a very unpleasant experience. I asked what was in the mixed appetisers to check if it was vegetarian and was told it was. I was also told it didn't include vine leaves so I ordered an extra plate of vine leaves because I wanted to try some. When it arrived there were sausages in the middle of some dips and chips and none of the things such as grilled vegetables that I was told were on the platter were included, but there were 4 vine leaves! I wouldn't have ordered a whole separate plate if I'd known. When I complained about the meat I was told I could take it off. I said I wasn't comfortable as a vegetarian and so the waiter grudgingly took the meat off the plate for me. When I asked for the chips to be replaced they grudgingly bought some more and when they brought the bill they had charged me for an additional plate of chips!! I managed to contest the bill after some argument, but it was an altogether unpleasant experience with an incredibly unhelpful waiter! Would not recommend especially if you are a solo traveller and/or vegetarian.

Very special dinner here, in the center of Kavala. Staff are very friendly. We find a table very difficult since 15. August seemed a busty day Beautiful atmosphere! I recommend the Lamb Aprons: exceptional!

Delicious meals, very large part, not expensive. Good view of the old town, near the Mehmet house. Usually crowded, especyafternoons and evenings. Recommended

Great restaurant with excellent meat. The two people mixed meat plate is great!
