What User doesn't like about Karavansarai:
I was quite suspicious about this restaurant as there are many reviews about bad hygiene. but it wasn't too bad and that was okay. However, I was very sad to find out that the owner is extremely homophobic and repeatedly spreads a lot hates against LGBTQ people. View all feedback.
I tried vegan stew with seitan, also vegan kybyn were both super. It is a very beautiful place in general, nice staff, beautiful area. I also tried a homemade tarchun it tastes good.
Pros: the restaurant is tidy and quite cosy, the menu has many vegan options (mostly based on seitan meat that are clearly marked, the food is tasty. Cons: the location is not very easy to reach, food portions are small considering the price (10-12€ per dish , the restaurant serves meat, the service was not very accommodating (the staff changed some things in our order but did not warn us about that . Conclusion: the restaurant is definitely worth visiting at least once because the food it serves is unique, but for me it is not a place to which I would go regularly.
I had some concerns about dining at this restaurant due to multiple reviews mentioning poor hygiene. The experience turned out to be average, with decent food. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to learn that the owner holds extremely homophobic views and frequently expresses hate towards LGBTQ individuals.
Many of the dishes previously listed are no longer available on the menu. We opted for the seitan grill, hummus platter, and falafel. In addition, we tried the vegetable and Indian spice Kybyn, which was delightful.
There are plenty of vegan options available at this restaurant. The vegan kybyn was the best I've ever had! You're truly serving up some delicious and sincere dishes.
