Menu

On this Website, you will find the comprehensive menu of Phat Eatery from Katy. Currently there are 22 meals and beverages available.

Nestled in Katy Asian Town, this casual spot serves bold Southeast Asian flavors with standout highlights—roti canai, silky hainanese chicken with a flight of sauces, beef rendang, and a phenomenal tofu—alongside crisp calamari and inventive mango chicken. Service is attentive and helpful, portions generous, and décor eclectically themed with street‑sign charm. Some dishes are uneven: dumplings and a few entrees lack depth or spice, and prices skew high, but adventurous diners and families will find plenty to enjoy.

What Linda O dislikes about Phat Eatery:
I can't understand why people like this place. No flavor. The beef tasted boiled then thrown in some rice. Pork shrimp dumpling tasted fishy. I would never go back. View all feedback.

I ordered the Mango Chicken, skewers (a mix of half chicken and half beef), and shrimp and pork dumplings. The Mango Chicken featured steamed chicken accompanied by red onions, bell peppers, and mango, all drizzled in a deliciously sweet sauce and served with a side of rice. The skewers came with a sweet dipping sauce, and I found the chicken to be superior to the beef. However, the dumplings were my least favorite item; their appearance and texture didn't appeal to me. Overall, it was a nice place with good food and satisfactory service.

We shared all the dishes and found the meal quite enjoyable. We started with Roti, an Indian flatbread accompanied by a delicious curry chicken dip. We also tried the Kerabu Prawns, which featured large skewered prawns with pickled papaya, mango, peanuts, and toasted sesame. Although it was advertised as having a light spicy sauce, we found it lacked any significant heat. The Salt and Pepper Calamari were crisp, flavorful, and slightly crunchy—absolutely delicious! The Mango Chicken was a standout dish, featuring fresh mango, bell peppers, and onions in a light sauce that hinted at spice. The Beef Rendang, made with shank and served in a coconut curry with chunks of potato, reminded us of Hungarian Goulash but with the addition of coconut. Our final dish was the Beef Hor Fun, which was savory but less memorable than the others. To accompany our meals, we enjoyed stir-fried organic green beans and stir-fried snow pea tips, both of which were delightful. Overall, it was a pleasant family dinner with tasty food and generous portions. However, the red peppers on the menu that suggest spicy dishes didn't quite match the flavor profile of the meals we had.

I absolutely adore these restaurants! This one is, without a doubt, the best we've been to!

The environment here is excellent, and all the staff members are fantastic. The food is also very unique,I wouldrecommend the tofu, which is incredibly tender and juicy. It was a delightful dining experience.Food: 5/5
