Lava Coffee - Katy

The coffee at Lava is one of the best in the Katy-area. Service is quick and friendly, and, when they have them, the pecan rolls are amazing! I work around the corner, and my coworkers and I always talk about those pecans!

200823 Samantha was very pleasant, I like the overall ambiance, and they have a cute selection of books, manga, and boardgames to enjoy. The prices are what you'd expect, $6/drink, but I wasn't impressed by the rose matcha.It's nice that they provide a free drink if you make a nice drawing on one of their paper cups!

I can confidently say you will get the best espresso in Katy here. So much so that I haven’t even had their actual drip coffee, the espresso is so good. I haven’t found another shop in all of Katy that gives you that authentic espresso taste like Lava does

Katy rules when it comes to bubble tea shops and fresh fruit drinks but it’s always a little hard to find decent coffee. I returned to Lava after a year and they didn’t disappoint. The latte tasted even better than last time and I love their Pokémon themed decor, they know their audience. Good tables for working and a couch and clean bathrooms. I didn’t try their lavender specialities but I’m sure it will be a good one to try if you are into it. They have some good pastries and sandwiches. If you are looking for a coffee spot to pregame before you hit your favorite hotpot spot or noodle join, Lava is your spot! Highly recommended.
