When trying a new Colombian spot, I alway judge them by their Bandeja Paisa and their empanadas, both here were perfect and on point. For the uninitiated, a Bandeja Paisa is a hearty platter of steak, fried pork belly, sausage, fried yellow plantain, rice, beans, and topped off with a fried egg. It also comes with an arepa which is a small fried corn pancake. This is a huge plate, enough to serve as your only meal of the day?because it will be impossible to be hungry afterward. All that food for $14 bucks! Give them a try!

Oh... read more This many years ago was the reason I came to know such delicious food from Colombia ! I always get the Bandeja Paisa large and a couple empanadas and arepas! Oh man and it?s a must to get their oatmeal drink call Avena Fria! This place is a happy place for me and although I?ve tried other spots I find myself coming back here for meals! Highly recommend if you have or haven?t had Colombian food. The customer service is kind and attentive. They accept cards and cash for payment .

Unfortunately, I have to mention this because when I asked to speak with the manager or someone in charge to share my feedback, they merely processed my payment and said, "Have a good day," without even making eye contact. This is really disappointing service. On a positive note, it's not the only Colombian restaurant in the area—there are plenty of other options to choose from!

W... read more We are from Ecuador and we have been coming to La Olla in Katy to eat on and off for the last 8 years. Today I treated my family to La Olla in Katy on Fry Rd. We ordered the famous fried fish and the paisa and some appetizers. When they brought out theempanadas de carne I bit into it and it was stale and NOT fresh at all. When our plates arrived to the table the size of thefish was half the size they used to be. The Paisa tasted reheated and the rice was not fresh at all. I mentioned all thesecomplaints to the waitress but all she said was the contrary and that the food was made to order, which was NOT true. Terribleexperience and won't be coming back anytime soon.

We asked if they were really behind and if they were going to take long before ordering anything and she told us no. Then we ordered the food and never brought the drinks. Instead anotherwaitress comes after an hour and tell us they were supposedly closing because they were having trouble with the system, yet theystill served a table after us and to go orders and never even got the drinks. We had cash to pay if the system was givingtrouble too, but they didn?t bother to even ask or anything . We lost at least an hour sitting down without drinks and thinkingthey were preparing our food. Waste of of time! Horrible customer service!
