I recommend going during the week (Mon-Thur) to avoid the weekend crowds and find plenty of seats. My favorite dishes to order are raw oysters, breaded flounder (if it's in season), salt and pepper crawfish tails, gumbo, stuffed crab, breaded shrimp with fries, and catfish fillets with fries. Also, make sure to try the delicious fries!

Captain Tom's is very small, charming, and lively. ...a true oyster bar. A dozen fresh was just $15.95 and they do have happy hour where they are cheaper. Seating is around the serving area. Small place. People sit elbow to elbow enjoying a great value, seafood meal. Loads of options, really good pricing, and cold beer! This place ranks very high on my list. Such a simple place but great food at reasonable prices. The staff is very friendly and accommodating too. If its about the food and a good experience, you have to check this basic but fantastic place out!

Always on point but today the fries ruined my meal I hate crumbs for fried hard small niblets, ask to exchange it happened but the lady cooking took attitude du... read more Always on point but today the fries ruined my meal I hate crumbs for fried hard small niblets, ask to exchange it happened but the lady cooking took attitude due to request, she made more and it was the same thing even the server said to her these are not different she said they all small as she glared at me, as I ate my meal I looked at her open a fresh bag and other entrees had the fries that one should be eating. She had this evil eye at me but I won’t let her disrupt my experience the food is great and so is the service! Be back soon lol
