This is a great spot for enjoying Asian cuisine. The dishes are a delightful mix of sweet and tangy flavors, and they offer a variety of soups typical of Asian restaurants. While I didn't try the soups, the menu features beef, chicken, fish, shrimp, and pork, along with vegetarian options. I particularly enjoyed the beef with sauce served over steamed rice, which had a nice flavor and generous portion sizes—more than what you often find. The rice was plentiful, which is a definite plus for me since I love steamed rice. The manager, who also served us, was very courteous. The tea provided was hot jasmine; I would have preferred oolong, but it was still enjoyable. I have to mention the decor, which pleasantly surprised me. The furniture is Chinese and looks quite upscale, adding to the restaurant's nice ambiance. Overall, it was a fun dining experience.
This restaurant serves some of the best Chinese food in Katy, offering a more authentic experience compared to other places. Two of my personal favorites are the Triple Delight and the Eggplant with Hot Garlic Sauce. The Hot Oil Wontons and Dried Bean Curd in Chili Oil make for excellent appetizers, especially if you enjoy spicy dishes. However, don't worry—the heat from the chili oil is flavorful rather than overwhelming, enhancing the taste and making the food quite addictive. Just a heads up, they are closed on Tuesdays.
I also tried the dumplings, which were excellent—so well-made and visually appealing! The wine soup featured a rich, homemade broth, and the vegetarian egg rolls were absolutely delightful. Next time I visit, I’m definitely going to try the hot oil dumplings. It's worth the hour-long drive just to eat at this place—it's that good!
From furnishings to service to food, this restaurant deserves five stars. We ordered the dumplings, the general taos chicken and the orange chicken. All the selections we made were amazing. The dumplings were perfection. The wort used in the decreasing filling was magically delicious. The best part is that they were perfectly damped.
