Zen-Sai Japanese Restaurant - Katoomba

The food was fantastic, the service was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. We enjoyed a variety of appetizers, as well as sushi and sashimi.

On a chilly spring evening in Katoomba, the town was buzzing with activity as locals braved the cold weather to explore the streets.

Bookings recommended. As locals we have missed out dining here without a reservation in the past. The food was delicious and we tried a wide variety. The prawn Gyoza are the best I've tried. The salmon sashimi had a tiny bone but otherwise it was wonderful. The squid entree was amazing. The young waiter on Sunday night did an excellent job, very polite and respectful. He's another reason we'd come back. As a heads up; it is a cash only restaurant.

We booked in here for dinner. Although the food was a bit slow to come out and came out staggered, it was amazing. The menu has a great variety and very reasonably priced! Be aware that it's a cash only restaurant. We'd definitely eat here again.

I tired this restaurant out as a recommendation from a colleague and wasn't disappointed. We had the ramen, prawn Goyza, Japanese pancake on a stick and the assorted Sashimi plate. All delicious. We will be back. Fyi - the place is cash only.
