This is my regular stop for lunch or dinner on the trip from Sydney to Bathurst. It's now considered a part of the route for my kids. I've never had a bad experience yet. They only downside is that there is no seating at the shop, but then why would you want to? It's less than 5 minutes to get to the Three Sisters car park to take it all in.If you're a yuppy day tripper, a geriatric with more money than sense, a coeli... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Cedar:
A very narrow shop offering lamb and chicken kebabs and felafel rolls, which is what most people go for. They are really quite large, but you nearly always find that the foil that binds it together somehow becomes an integral part of the meal, so be ready for a few pauses while you fish out bits of foil from your mouth. If you like chilli sauce they have nice hot ones. If you are prepared to consider some of the Leba... View all feedback.
The place just feels filthy and dirty. Go there if you like your food stuffed into a plastic container then microwaved, yeah no thanks. Then they wrapped my kebab in foil and eating it was a disaster as the foil stuck to the bread. I did ask for it to be toasted but that was obviously too hard. My husband ordered an assortment of the veg type salads that were pre-made and the guy server said it was better heated and again thrown into the microwave in a plastic container. We left not looking forward to our meal and 90% was thrown into the bin as when you microwave food it heats the food inconsistently so it was terrible. He is obviously not an educated man to know that putting plastic into a microwave is highly TOXIC! A lot better places to eat in Katoomba than this place would never return nor would recommend to anyone.
Ordered two doner kabobs chicken and lamb. Probably the biggest donar I have ever eaten. Both excellent and the clients that walked in seemed mostly local and they seemed to know a friendly guy named Bill by name and he reciprocated. He would custom make your donar that you want and was eager to please.
This place was okay. Pretty dingy, so don't go in expecting a nice fresh sandwhich. I got a falafel roll, it was fine - not great but not awful. The rolls/ kebabs are around $7 each, so not too pricey, that said, you can probably get a nicer sandwich elsewhere close by for the same if not a lower price.
I used to work at a falafel place in the US so it's hard to find one as good. These are your typical Australian chain wraps. They're huge, inexpensive, and not the best. I think I'd pass this place by next time I'm in Katoomba.
This is the real deal. We ordered felafel wraps. They were generous and delicious and a healthy choice. The guys who run this place know what they are doing. Big winner for us.
