As I entered, I was immediately drawn to the wall ador... read more I visited a restaurant for Thanksgiving to celebrate with my mother for the first time on the East Coast. As I entered, I was immediately drawn to the wall adorned with patches of fallen heroes. However, my experience was quickly soured when the bartender gave me a judgmental look and replied curtly when I wished him a happy Thanksgiving. Despite my background serving in the Air Force, Navy, and as a civilian police officer, I was still met with a rude comment from the bartender that they do not serve people like me. Additionally, there was a lack of social distancing in the restaurant, even though Washington State is a COVID-19 hotspot. Despite this unpleasant experience, I may give the restaurant another chance in the future.
