I love hard bread, but I was surprised to find such a variety in this cozy restaurant. My favorite was the bread with 75% rye, which had a crackly crust and a unique chewiness. It had a great aroma and acidity, characteristic of rye bread. It was delicious even without toasting. I think they could have a place in Umeda specializing in hard bread. I also enjoyed the soft and chewy "koppe" bread, though I felt the dough was a bit on the salty side. Eating too much made my mouth tired from the saltiness. The scones had a hint of margarine flavor.
I have become addicted to this restaurant with its wide variety of delicious products. The croissant was especially tasty. I was impressed by the use of masking tape to seal the bag. Using tape instead of sticky tape to open the bag eliminates the stress of that annoying ripping sound. Thank you for the thoughtful touch.
