Es... read more In meinen Augen ist das Si Surin, das beste Thai Restaurant in Kassel. Die Speisen sind immer sehr lecker, mit authentischen Zutaten und Kräutern zubereitet. Es werden sogar die kleinen Thai Auberginen verwendet, Galgant, Zitronengras und frischer Koriander sind selbstverständlich. Das Restaurant ist gemütlich im typischen Stil eingerichtet und hat eine große überdachte Terrasse. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und bietet einen guten Service.Man kann auch Essen abholen, dieses ist immer sehr rasch fertig und durch die verkehrsgünstige Lage des Si Surin am Ortseingang von Vellmar, ist es kein Problem von Kassel aus, schnell dorthin zu gelangen.Fazit: wer gerne Thailändisches Essen mag, ist hier an der richtigen Adresse.

There are a few things on the menu that have been adapte... read more As someone who has travelled quite a bit, including multiple trips to Thailand, I really like Si Sirun. There are a few things on the menu that have been adapted too much to German culture and I wish they would just make things like they are supposed to be. However, there are so many good things on the menu that I can avoid these. I recommend the green papaya salad, the beef salad, any curry, the crispy duck and the pad thai. Avoid the other noodle dishes! There are other places in the Kassel area that offer Thai, but none are as good as this. Take the short trip out to the suburbs, you will be happy that you did.
