Small italian restaurant in Kassel, family run.The menu is rather short, anyway offering a selection of Italian seafood and meat dishes. Absolutely good quality of the ingredients, simple but good cuisine, kind of "home style".Good wine selection reflecting the character of the restaurant.Fair prices. View all feedback.

After 27 years, the “Gambero Rosso” at the Gräfestraße will give up its operation at the end of October. The owner family wants to reorientate. Owner Vanessa Tropeano confirmed to the HNA: “We decided to pull the tear line after a mature reflection.” Now the owner pair from Kassel wants to say goodbye and start something new again at the Lübecker bay – first in the employee relationship, but with the aim of fast self-employment. Family is a keyword that has to do with the decision on the task of Gambero Rosso. Economic and private reasons would have worked together, says Gastronomin. After the pandemic dynasty, the business had gone well during documenta. However, already announced cost increases on all fronts indicated that “it will be very difficult in a few months.” In addition, continuing bottlenecks would be encountered with staff. “This is a big problem for us and must be intercepted in the family,” says Vanessa Tropeano. Family life has suffered recently, and for its 9 and 14 years old children it wants to have more time than before. As it goes on with the restaurant on the Gräfestraße and whether it will be used gastronomically in the future is currently open. Excerpt from: [here link]
