We ordered the vegan plate for two (20 euro and it was delicous! A huge variety of super tasty main dishes with rice, injera (kind of bread and salad. I would recommend a reservation, especially in the evening. Fruit beer is also very good and something special : View all feedback.
What danveg doesn't like about Abessina:
Since my girlfriend and I had not known their vegan dishes yet, we went for the mixed platter with a portion of every dish for two people for 20€. This combination was really tasty as every dish savoured differently. Although the service was a bit slow at the beginning, the food arrived quickly. Vorab gab es Samorsa und Hummus, und als Hauptgang Timtumo(Linsen). Wir waren länger nicht mehr dort, da das Servicepersonal eine Katastrophe war. Heute haben wir es mal wieder versucht, neues Personal war da und der Herr hat uns auch das Essen gemacht. Hat alles super geklappt und sehr gut geschmeckt.
Leckeres Essen mit vielen veganen Optionen, der Service könnte jedoch besser sein.
Große Auswahl an veganen Gerichten, sich auch sehr lecker sind. Allerdings ist das Restaurant oft sehr dreckig (z.B. klebige Tische).
We were a group of 8 at our table and ordered platters. Worked out at about 10 euros a head for food, and there was more than enough. Very tasty, authentic Ethiopian food. Service was a bit hit and miss, but I think they were caught out by the size of our group (about 25 in total).
Great food at affordable prices. The decor is a bit over the top but the place is hospitable nevertheless.
