Was Taurean Spinka at Treehouse a mag?
Seems like the neighborhood favorite. It's bright, comfortable and cozy inside. Lots of options for breakfast and lunch. Definitely try the sausage if you get a chance- it's from a couple doors down from the local meat market and was so delicious we went there after to buy links for later. Friendly service and we loved our seat near the window where we got to observe the comings and goings of the small, friendly town... View all feedback.
What Luella Crooks dislikes about Treehouse:
Went to the Treehouse for a late breakfast with a friend. I ordered #3 (bacon and eggs) while my friend ordered a clubhouse. 50 minutes later i asked the waitress if our order was going to be long. She snapped back in a rude tone that " it's going to be a while". So two cups of coffee in 50 minutes and no food was a real **** off so off we went. It didn't appear to be overly busy. If the waitress had simply told us i... View all feedback.

My 17 year old grandson and I had breakfast at the Treehouse and were blown away by the number of menu items available. I had a Benny Breakfast Bowl and my grandson had a usual Canadian breakfast of eggs, bacon etc,The quality of the food was excellent, the quantities were huge and the prices reasonable.Kaslo is a bit of a hippy/biker town so the people watching opportunities inside and outside the restaurant are good too!
We visited treetops all three mornings for our breakfast and enjoyed the extensive range of food on offer. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were also seats outside if you wished to sit outside too.
This place is not particularly attractive, and there is a very good stylish and hip restaurant down the street. But where are a good number of locals and lots of tourist traffic? The Treehouse. They are quick and friendly. They know how to cook eggs to order, which seems surprisingly difficult for many restaurants. One can still get a great breakfast for under six dollars as well as really special specials at around twelve.I think this place continues to get better. If possible, leave room for dessert.

If the waitress had simply told us in the beginning when we sat down that they were busy or whatever it would have been fine and we would have tried it again another time. So to the well tanned waitress: Your curt tone of voice and total lack of customer service has cost you a repeat visit.
Choose this place based on reviews. Was very good but not very fast. Waited a long time after ordering. They were pretty busy so will let that go!! Waitress friendly and helpful, atmosphere quaint and food was good. We would revisit. Kaslo is a cool town with nice folks and good times!!Carpe diem!!

Nice place with good food for reasonable prices. My Rueben was a little bland, but the side salad with balsamic dressing was delicious, and the Kaslo Bowl of my wife was exceptional or at least what she claims she refused to share one of the falafels. It looked fantastic! We'll be back next time we go through Kaslo. Update: We are back a few days later. My wife had the Kaslo Bowl again (excellently, she let me try the Falafel this time) and I had Eggs Benedict. The eggs were creamy, the Hollandaise sauce was stellar, the (sides) potatoes were crispy; it was all I ever wanted in Eggs Benedict. Add a touch of Tabasco for a kick, but get the house Hot Sauce for the potatoes (tomato base, fresh and sharp). 10/10, our next trip will be planned so we can stop here for lunch.
Nice little place in a sweet little town. We were treated very well here and had a nice lunch. We were happy campers. Service: Dine in Meal Type: Lunch Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
Thanks Baumhaus! We had a great breakfast today, my pregnant woman had a challenging time with certain foods, and loves Ei Benny. It was the perfect breakfast for both of us, and she often said how good the Hollandaise sauce was, we both loved it! 10/10 we will be back again and again! Child friendliness: Children's breakfast was perfect for our daughter, very accommodatin!
My wife and I are eggs, Benny, was overcooked and just okay. Portion sizes also seemed small. Even the server mentioned it was kind of small. The prices do not seem to reflect this. Food: 2 Service: 3 atmosphere: 3

Highly recommend getting the eggs Benny! It was absolutely delicious. Cute atmosphere renovated beautifully.
Stopped in for lunch, food and service was good. The only thing is they only do drip coffee, if you’re looking for a latte or something.
Awesome breakfast. We had the breakfast burrito and the blueberry pancake special. Very good. I will come back
Excellent Food, a little slow but very nice people. If you are in Kaslo, I recommend you to go there.Vegetarian options: Lots of nice veggie food.
Amazing breakfast, thank-you so much. We will definitely be back ?

Stopped in at the Treehouse Restaurant for breakfast here late on a Saturday morning. I had the Eggs Benedict which were way above average... extra large eggs cooked exactly as I requested, really good ham and a truly superior Hollandaise sauce that had a lovely lemony bite yet didn't drown the dish. The pictures in the restaurant and the restrooms are historical gems. My only concern here was that proper Covid protocol wasn't followed as our passports were checked but not confirmed with government ID.
Cute local cafe/greasy spoon, likely family run. Easy to come in (before 2 pm Sunday anyway) and have a meal with friends or kids. Kid's menu is great mix of breakfast and lunch. One of my kids picked pancakes, the other a grilled cheese and they both ate their plates clean! Rare for an outing meal. I had the Cordon Chicken Burger with the soup of the day (Sicilian chicken) and my spouse had the popular clubhouse sandwich with tater tots. Interesting, no french fries on the menu. Options are tater tots, potato salad, tossed salad, or soup. My chicken burger was breaded and so huge it was hard to eat without making a huge mess, but I managed! Tons of swiss cheese and fried ham, bun was actually large enough and fresh. Soup was a small portion, but fantastic loaded with chicken and veggies. Definitely full after the burger. Clubhouse was reported as fine as well. The grilled cheese is made with two types of gourmet cheese and very cheesy! Pancake was cooked perfectly golden brown on both sides, thick, and fluffy. Plenty of toppings provided as well.
Cozy and friendly place to enjoy an early morning breakfast. The staff were very friendly and quick to serve everything. The food was good; very typical for a breakfast diner. If you’re looking for a family friendly place to eat breakfast this is a perfect place.
Best breakfast menu and restaurant service staff in Kaslo. The Bacon Bennie and Greek Scramble are superb! Very busy restaurant, come early to get a seat. Large portions of good eats. Nice mix of soft Pop music and fast WiFi too ‿
Probably the best hollandaise sauce I have ever had. We had spent the night 15 minutes south of kaslo at the Ainsworth hot springs but decided to look in Kaslo to see what breakfast options were avaliable, I'm glad we did. I ordered the bacon eggs Benedict, it was exceptional, home made sauce tender bacon with a decent side of cubed potatoes. The breakfast bowl was also very tasty, my guess would be that they use locally sourced meat products as it was much more tasty then other places i have visited. I highly recommend making the tree house your breakfast stop if your in the area.

We were recommended to try the eggs Benedict at this restaurant, so we decided to order them. We were impressed with the homemade hollandaise sauce, although the eggs were cooked more firm than we expected, as they were supposed to be medium. The long plate they were served on was a bit awkward to eat from. However, the sauce was delicious and had a tangy lemon flavor that we loved. The home fries were outstanding. And then we tried the raspberry sour cream pie, which completely changed our minds about pie in general. Thanks to Treehouse for a delicious meal!
We didn't eat much here, but this place was wonderful. The whole town of Kaslo seems like it is stuck in time, and this restaurant fit the motif perfectly. We wanted lunch after a steep hike to the lookout above town, but they were still serving breakfast. So instead of being rude and just leaving, we split a little meal. We had the spinach eggs benedict, which had perfect hollandaise sauce and a delightfully crispy English muffin. We will defintiely be back next time we are in town.
The food at this restaurant was delicious and fresh, and the service was also excellent. Our server, Tracey, was friendly and efficient. The bathrooms were spotless, which is always a good sign for the cleanliness of the kitchen. Overall, no concerns here.
The mushroom burger was one of the best hubby had ever had. Tasty and on a bun that didn't overpower the fillings or fall apart. I had the chicken philly very mild flavour. Both were nicely seasoned. What a pleasure to not have a meal overloaded with salt. We would highly recommend a stop at this cute little establishment.
Great service, delicious breakfast. This is where the locals meet and eat. Located on the main street (Front Street) right across from the Kaslo Hotel. My wife and I had the white veggie omelette with toast. Yum. They open early (6:00am) and have great coffee. Say 'Hi to Tracy for us.
