Big Pines Lodge - Karnack

Had a great lunch after a morning on the water! The chicken fried steak was great as the Okra. The jalapeño Hush Puppies Sticks were the best!!! Great place in the middle of no place! They also have Wi-Fi that rarely appears!

The food was amazing and Holly is a great waitress! The portions are huge! Definitely enough to share or go home for another meal!

The place was so beautiful near the bayon. We liked the Hush puppies. The fried catfish was good and juicy, but the shrimp is dry. They also forgot the whole part of the shrimps, but after we told them they gave the missing piece of food. I loved them serving rice too. I also liked the Koleslaw. If you stay in Uncertain, TX for this trip, this is a nice place to eat. Near the park entrance of Caddo Lake.

I recommend going on Friday before 3:00 if you don't like a lot, not Saturday afternoon like us. A little short staff, but the food was good and the view of the river is beautiful. No children's menu, but it doesn't matter if you share a meal and they give the children a few nice toy allies.

The fish, disappointed. It was slimy. The best thing were the fries pickles, green tomato relish and hushpuppies. Not worth the price or the fish. The view was nice and our server was very attentive and pleasant.
