Oberes Tor - Karlstadt

Das Essen war alltäglich, gut bürgerlich, aber nichts Besonderes.Die Bedienung war sehr nett, aber es waren kaum Gäste da, so dass es mir vorkam, als ist hier wenig Gästeverkehr.

Ett vackert torn som ligger på huvudgatan. Lite smal port att komma igenom med bil, men det går. Har du kommit igenom så bjuds du på en fin gammal stadsmiljö.

It also serves a toast in the evening, called "Oberes Tor Toast", loaded with a small rump-steak and a small salad and oh so very good. It does not matter what you order, it is prepared to perfection and delicious. The place is run by a husband/wife team Kurt and Klara, who are well know in the community. In the summer time a visit to their Biergarten is a must, especially when the chestnut trees are in bloom, it is just beautiful to sit outside and enjoy a glass of Francocian wine and a great meal. The restaurant is always clean and nicely decorated for every season.
