In my earlier criticism, I described the very pleasant ambience of the hotel and, above all, the restaurant's outdoor restaurants: idyllic, directly at the main bench overlooking Karlsburg, small, hotel beer garden and spacious terrace, shaded by ancient and powerful trees. Our friends have reserved this 24th place at high summer temperatures. August a four table on the terrace. Hotel Mainpromenade – Terrasse I Hotel Mainpromenade – Terrasse II Two ladies serve us in the evening. They make their work largely routine, and they are kind. You ask for our satisfaction and are attentive to the cleaning of empty dishes and reorders. One of the ladies, however, confused the ordered beef roast with the also ordered deer roast and insists on demand in their view of things. However, the dietary supplements give us an opposite view, which is underpinned when the meat is consumed. This gives a point of drop, but four stars still remain for the otherwise error-free service. One of the ladies gave us the menus. The menu offers, as seven years ago, vegetarian dishes, steak, carving, fish and wild dishes, soups and salads in various variations and seasonal dishes in the season menu. Despite the high summer temperatures we choose all “autumn/winter dishes”. My dearest and our friend choose – beef cake in strong red wine sauce, fried napkin dishes and green beans €21.90, where the original supplements to the beef sacks, namely potatorit and glazed carrots, are exchanged after consultation with the kitchen for the abovementioned supplements. Our friend wishes – beef roasts in strong red wine sauce, fresh mushrooms, homemade latency and salad €16.90, and I choose – deer roasts from domestic hunting with mushrooms in red wine sauce, homemade latency and apple red cabbage €20.50 . On this warm evening many drinks have flown through our throats. We start with – Bad Brückenauer Wasser “Gourmet” 0,75 l to 4,60 € – Helles, Herzog von Franken 0.4 l to 3,60 € – Mohrle – Hefeweizen mit Cola 0.4 l to 4,30 € . In the evening some wines and other mineral water – Riesling, Bürgerspital Würzburg, 2018, dry, mature, soft in taste, balanced acidity, robust, fruity 0.2 l to 5,20 € The euphemistically described and expectations of Arnsteiner Wasser are, however, common table water. In the following, the courts of our friends are judged only on the basis of their comments. There is no greeting from the kitchen, very quickly the main dishes come after our order. Grape cake in strong red wine sauce, fried napkin dishes and green beans The ladies are completely satisfied with their choice. The beef sacks are so delicate that they can easily be divided with the fork. They taste the long season in the perfectly matched, spicy red wine sauce. The napkins are fried crispy, but soft and fluffy inside. The green beans are well seasoned and taste very good. Deer roasts from local hunting with mushrooms in red wine sauce, homemade latency and apple red cabbage The hot roast is very well prepared, soft, not a bit hard. The red wine sauce with mushrooms cannot deny its vinophilic origin and fits perfectly with the wild shell. The apple cabbage has the slightly acidic taste I prefer. The Spätzle are perfectly cooked, with the red wine sauce they taste excellent. Beef roast in strong red wine sauce, fresh mushrooms, homemade latezle salad to beef roast Our friend is also very happy with his beef roast and the side salad. A good meal requires a degree. My friend and I can go with a Karlstadter – Zwetschgenbrand from Kraft from Mühlbach 2 cl to 3.50 €, and our friend gönnt himself – Cappucchino 3.30 € . Cleanliness in the terrace area does not cause any complaints. The toilet of the ladies is well maintained and clean, as my dearest says. The price/performance ratio is considered to be good in terms of the good preparation of foods and the significantly favourable beverage prices. Unlike the rating seven years ago, we see an improvement in the conclusion. The service is not 100% round yet, but the performance of the kitchen convinces. We stay with our previous recommendation: a visit to the restaurant of the Hotel Mainpromenade is worthwhile.
