Toro - Karlsruhe

Yesterday we visited this Spanish restaurant with GUTSCHEIN. All tapas and drinks have been reduced thanks to voucher. “Classic tapas in very good quality, pleasant ambience, very friendly staff” 5 out of five points! The EL TORO offers a very good selection of tapas. It's the tapas you know from vacation. No Michelin kitchen, but classic and traditional. They are ordered after the card and the quantities are so filled with three to four tapas. Everything is fresh and well seasoned we were satisfied with all the ordered tapas. The Gambas are also wounded! The TEMPRANILLO 0.2 to 4.90 EUR fits very well with the tapas. The decor is pleasant, dark furniture in Spanish style and welcoming. Conclusion: The voucher was a real hit!

This tapasbas is located in the centre of Karlsruhe, but a bit from the pedestrian zone is a really pleasant surprise. Unfortunately there are no free spaces, but the rewarding atmosphere is experienced inside and the large window front is brilliant. The Toro Tapasbar is hardly registered in Barcelona, Madrid or Seville. we immediately see the few tables occupied and decorated abundantly with tapas: Gambas al ajillo Croquetas Boquerones en vinagre Jamon Olives and much more... Wuaoooh! The relatively simple and pleasant rustic interior design immediately allows authenticity. This continues with the consistently beautiful and attentive service, which all leave a Spanish impression, and finally ends in the tapas card. There you will find the usual standard tapas, but also abundant somewhat unusual creations at absolutely reasonable price-performance ratio. It is not quite cheap, but the selection of products shows that the Toro tapasbar sets on quality. Great!

Goods on Saturday 4.2.2017 there. It was too warm and too loud (you could hardly talk). Food medium and bad price/performance ratio (Gambas stood on the map and simple shrimp served 11,90 EUR too expensive). ... again and again.

We were in Toro on Friday 16.12.16. Super food beautiful atmosphere, controls. But best is the boss he gave us a candle with self-made Spanish bulls and toro lettering. Thanks again!

For Spaniards with a homeweh is a good thing. When we came, there were still crates on the tables that were then removed later. I liked it, it looks temporary, badly organized. But the food was good.
