L`Incontro - Karlsruhe

I reserved a table for 8 people to celebrate the birthday of a friend. They told me that if I brought the cake, they would charge me 1.5 Euro extra per person for the service and plates, so as students, we ditch the idea of sharing a cake there.One extra friend showed up and they didn't manage to get an extra place for him, even though there was an empty table beside us which they had to pick up because no-one used it.Then, if you don't order a drink, they will charge you 2 Euro just because they feel like it.Food was tasty but took a while to come, as well as one of the oredered plates came late after all of the rest had already finished dining. Asking and paying for the check took at least 20 minutes.Overall, way less than average experience. I would only come back if I'm really craving for italian food in Germany.

I like the decoration, precise and warm, which makes the room very cozy. the service is attentive and professional. the extensive food and drink card is guaranteed to be fusing. for me eating was a scandal, I was twice in the restaurant and both the pizza (meaning after very burned and without much taste) as well as the risotto (rich but excessively thick) were not at the level. despite all, I will repeat it to have another opportunity, possibly they deserve it!

My impressions of the l’incontro are mixed. I have eaten the pasta al limone more often and found it extremely tasty, also I liked the detailed wine card that I met there last year. before two weeks, however, I was very disappointed by an evening meal with friends. we had reserved a table, but then was not free for us. only about 25 minutes after we had ordered it was told that the dough would be enough for just one pizza. then one of us had to redispose, and finally ordered three of us gnocchi with gorgonzola and birne. All three we found that the gorgonzola had no aroma. also the pears were quite lost. we gave our feedback so to the waitress, which she meant she didn't understand, the vegan version would have been very delicious. I hope the next visit will return the l’incontro to the old quality.

Beautiful ambiente and friendly service. rich and Italian varied selection of diners. very tasty dishes. we had homemade pasta and bruschetta. quite a recommended location in the jungle of the Italian local.

We were too hospitable on Saturday at alessandro and his team and were very welcome.The local is very cozy, the tables are covered with fabric napkins.The light makes a great mood.Alessandro understands the craft of a good host.The eating was really top, special were by no means a problem. Also the wee recommendation was very successful.There were always new guests who took extra on the bar to wait for a table, which says a lot!. We'll be back soon.Mille grazie, ci vediamo!
