I was a little concerned with the character breakfast given some of the reviews, but the meal was fabulous! Our food was delicious, the service was fantastic and the characters were so funny! The security protocols are now removed and the buffet is closed. Covered options were great, and you can ask for more of the fruits and pastries if you want! I ordered the Macadamia nuts pancakes that were huge and delicious! My... View all feedback.

Went here with my wife and 2 kids who are 2 and 4. My kids loved the character breakfast. We saw 4 characters. Mickey, Minnie, Chip Dale. Food was ok. Since it’s in Hawaii we had to get the loco moco. However I thought the character breakfast on the mainland was way better in terms of character experience , but my kids don’t know the difference as it’s their first ever Disney “experience”. Also I didn’t like that fac... View all feedback.
I had the best birthday breakfast of my life, thanks to Jason, Richard, and the talented woman who played the ukulele. They truly made my day special by bringing me a cupcake with a candle and singing "Happy Birthday" in Hawaiian. It’s not easy to feel cherished when you’re far from family, and I will never find the words to express my gratitude for everything they did. The service was exceptional; they were always attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was fantastic, and the fresh pineapple juice was delicious. We enjoyed a peaceful morning together. Thank you for creating such a memorable birthday experience. Jason, your kindness and attentiveness meant a lot to us, and we truly appreciated it.
I visited this restaurant with my wife and our two kids, aged 2 and 4. The character breakfast was a hit with our children; they enjoyed meeting four characters—Mickey, Minnie, Chip, and Dale. The food was decent, and since we were in Hawaii, we made sure to try the loco moco. However, I found the character experience on the mainland to be much better. My kids won't notice the difference, though; this was their first Disney experience. One thing I didn’t appreciate was that, at the time of payment, instead of handing me the card machine, the staff took my credit card to swipe it in a back room. I don’t think I’ll return on our next trip to Hawaii, especially since we have plans for a Disney World and cruise trip with the kids, which I believe will be a much better experience than what we had at the Oahu Disney resort.
Don’t overlook the cocktails; they were delightful and added to our wonderful evening. The atmosphere at Makahiki is serene, allowing for a relaxing time with family. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we felt well taken care of. In summary, Makahiki is an excellent dining destination. With its scrumptious food, calming ambiance, and outstanding service, it’s a must-visit if you're staying at the Disney Aulani Hotel!
A great way to start the morning, with a character breakfast. We had a wonderful breakfast with waffles, eggs, and local dishes. The food was cooked perfectly and came out at the perfect temperature. We all took pictures with Mickey and had roaming characters like Goofy, Max, and Pluto. There was a wandering musician playing local Hawaiian music. The staff was always kind and helpful, tending to all our needs. The local wildlife likes to roam under the tables if you're seated near the edges outside. So you might be visited by a mongoose or two.It is mainly for reservations, but walk-ins are welcome. Just come in at 6 am. To add your name to the list as it fills up fast. Prices are at Disney values, so plan accordingly.
Good food 3 course meal that we couldn't finish. We ended up taking some of it to go. A little bit on the more pricy side.Food: 5/5
