Great food, service, drinks.. the Li hing Li Limonade and wagyu melt were wonderful. Also large garlicries and many of them. Good price points for quality and quantities. Amazing Macarons. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Tour Cafe:
La tour makes great bread that you can buy in the store, however, their café serves terrible food. Got a chicken pesto Panini sandwich for $12 and it was the saddest looking sandwich I've ever eaten. The bread was really hard and there was hardly anything in it. It reminds me of premade sandwiches that you get at Starbucks or the gas station. It doesn't even come with a side, chips or a drink... Nothing to give the sad little sandwich some flair. Pretty disappointing for a cafe to put out such garbage. Gave it two stars only because the staff members are very nice and service was good.
They do not accept cash. They do not disinfect the screen between customers. I was advised to stick my fingers up the napkin dispenser, wrap my fingers with the napkin to touch the screen to sign to pay and complete my transaction. Not very sanitary, is it? Did not see a hand sanitizer pump on the counter. I?ll come back when they have their covid-19 safety procedures ironed out.
Delicious! I ordered the Wagyu melt and garlic pommes fries. The melt had super buttery toasted bread, Wagyu beef, cheddar, grilled onions and Jalapeños. I had the jalapeños on the side in case they were too hot. I tried it with and without the jalapeños. I am not a spicy fan but it was perfect with the jalapeños, gave it the right mix of flavor. The onions were grilled well without being mushy. The garlic fries had a ton of garlic and butter on them. With all the butter and garlic the fries still were not mush. Enough fries in one order for 2-3 people to share, just ask for more than 3 packets of ketchup which is all I got for this box of fries. I would definitely recommend this place. The staff was friendly and kept the covid distance rules. They smiled at me which seems to be rare in Hawaii for customer service.
I love eating at the LA Tour, but the prices are somewhat steep. Especially if you order 4 meals. Great products, but also the environment.
