I wish I had made pictures of my food! that was ingenious, but my favorite parts was the delicious home brewed kombucha, vegan gelato and conversed with the owner. unfortunately I couldn't catch his name, but my friend and I enjoyed his explanations about eating and thinking behind it. you can really feel the love of his bar of the way he speaks. Additionally, the interieur was really cool, fun and great for Instagra... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Potions Kombucha:
I was really excited to try this place, but extremely disappointed. Apparently, the cook cannot take criticism, so they stopped planting their food. it is up to them to use a salt, pepper or cayenne shaker to season their own foods. good luck! View all feedback.
While kombucha, Curry and Gelato are a strange pairing, they are all very good here and still work. My partner and I ordered all three and they were not disappointed! There are verified aromas of kombucha to try tap, and the chocolate gelato hit the spot after a hot day. The owner was super helpful to explain all the options.
Happy to hear Potions is opening back up with food again soon after remodeling with Covid safety practices in mind for the protection of their guests and servers. they have been serving Kombucha with call in orders to go but the food is great and i have missed the warm atmosphere while dining in. Thanks to your efforts to keep things rolling through these times when the immune boosting benefits are needed most

I randomly spotted this place while driving down Kuhio Hwy. As big kombucha lovers, we knew we had to stop in! Here's a few reasons why this was one of our favorite stops on the whole island. First off, the flavors. When we were there, he had Chocolate Monkey, Ginger Ginseng, Kauai Fruit Cocktail, and Dandelion Burdock. All were delicious but the chocolate and ginger were our favorites. Chocolate kombucha... so rare and wonderful! Second, the price. $4 for a freshly made pint of kombucha? Such an amazing deal. Everything on Kauai is so expensive, and to have freshly made kombucha on the island that was even cheaper than what we get in LA. Third, Gadhai, the owner and brewer of the delicious kombuchas, is a pleasure to talk to. He sat down with us and had some kombucha himself, and we talked about veganism, hare krishna, and the island of Kauai. He's super funny and personable, and his wife owns the Gopals Creperie joint down the street (vegan-friendly and all vegetarian creperie). Gadhai is from England so it was fun to talk about that, too. They don't have any food there, but all the kombucha is fully vegan, and the place next door has vegan-friendly options for Indian food. If you're vegan or simply health-conscious in Kauai, definitely check this place out!
The food at this restaurant was very bland and lacked any flavor. It was difficult to distinguish it as curry if it wasn't stated on the menu. The dish definitely needed more curry sauce. I had high expectations but left feeling very disappointed. I was surprised by all the positive reviews.
