Avalon Gastropub - Kapaa

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise on the east side of the island! They offer a wide variety of creative cocktails, delicious food, and some of the best desserts I've ever tasted. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

This is a great restaurant. My husband and I both ordered the brisket sandwich and it was fantastic! I got a side salad and my husband got fries, both were delicious. The staff was extremely friendly and diligent.

I cannot express enough how amazing this restaurant is. The food, drinks, whiskey, and desserts are all fantastic. For whiskey lovers, this place offers a great selection that is a nice change from the typical tropical drinks found at other places on the island. The staff really know their stuff and go above and beyond to ensure a wonderful dining experience every time. The pub steak with chipotle butter is outstanding, and they also have some special dishes that are worth trying (see attached photo of the bomb pot cup). For dessert, we always enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding, which could give Gordon Ramsay's version a run for its money. We visited several times while staying in Kapaa and even made the drive from the Grand Hyatt because it is just that good. We will definitely be back 100% when we return to Kauai.

My wife and I called ahead to make a reservation for 2. Extensive cocktail list. Old fashioned made with one large cube. This is always a benchmark for me that indicates if the drink will be any good. Means they take pride in their craft. We stayed for dinner and several drinks. One bartender on staff, took a bit to get the drinks in our hands, but the establishment was full and the drinks are worth the wait. Will definitely return.
