Contribute FeedbackI wasn't sure what to expect when I stumbled upon this restaurant on Google Maps. The location was completely inaccurate, so instead of a 12-minute walk from where I was staying, I had to backtrack and walk an additional 22 minutes to find their actual address, which I found on their Facebook Page. The business hours listed on Google and Facebook did not match the times they actually serve bento boxes; they only offer them during weekday lunch hours. When I arrived at 9:30am and requested a vegan bento, they were not prepared. Instead, they offered me some noodles they were preparing for a large group breakfast, which I happily accepted. I could taste the effort put into their soup, which had a rich flavor from stewing for hours with ingredients like sugar cane, corn on the cob, konbu, and mushrooms. The restaurant was not set up for dining in, but they allowed me to sit at a cluttered table and provided me with fresh fruit, tea, snacks, and various condiments. They also gave me a brochure for a Foguangshan museum visit. I politely declined the shaqima snack as it contained animal products. I would definitely return when I'm in Kaohsiung to try their visually appealing bento boxes for lunch!
When I came across this place on Google Maps, I didn't know what to expect. The location was a bit off, requiring a longer walk than anticipated. The hours posted on Google and Facebook didn't match when they actually served bento boxes - only during weekday lunches. When I arrived at 9:30 a.m. and asked for a vegan bento, they didn't have anything ready but offered some noodles instead. The broth they prepared was flavorful, simmered for hours with ingredients like sugar cane, corn on the cob, konbu, and mushrooms. The ambiance was not ideal for lingering, but they graciously let me sit and served me fresh fruit, tea, snacks, and spicy condiments. They even gave me a brochure for a nearby museum. I declined the ovo-lacto snack and would consider returning to try their beautiful bento boxes for lunch on a future visit to Kaohsiung.
