An Edo-mae-style sushi restaurant by talented Taiwanese chef. Finest Japanese and Taiwanese seafood are used, and the fish are well aged. Lady who takes resos sounds like she hates her job. Chef is attentive e.g. noticed I was a leftie and angled my sushi specifically so I could pick them up easier. Overall execution is as expected for a sushiya of this caliber. Dry aged tuna and mackerel roll were great, but “creative” sashimi dishes were overseasoned, paired with questionable ingredients or slathered in unnecessarily thick sauces. Was also expecting...
