I've been here twice now and can't say I have any gripes. The food was excellent, the service was decent, and the ambience wasn't bad. I recommend giving them a try if you want Japanese cuisine in Garden City. Oh, and if you have a child that wants to try sushi. My son loves the Japanese soda. View all feedback.

No stars was not an option. Do not go here. Dont let a 4.2 rating fool you. The entire place is dirty, the one bathroom looks fresh out of a Rob Zombie horror movie. Disgusting. Ordered something small anyway. Did not taste freshly made. Left and went to Osaka. Do yourself a favor and either eat a fish straight out of a cave pond like Gollum, or go to Osaka Sushi. Horrible customer service by manager, untrained staff but they were nice, never received complete order, and it had very run down/dirty decor.
I have eaten at Ninja since it opened and I am appalled what the restaurant has become. We had a horrible take out experience several months ago. Friends invited me today so I came, because I believe everyone deserves another chance. The one waitress had her earbud in and could not hear us even when we were speaking directly to her- at one point she got her cell phone out and sent a text WHILE WAITING ON A TABLE. Can't even contact the store for carryout. Update the phone number or get better ways for customers to place orders. Over half the menu is even missing from the online ordering.

The sushi was much better than expected, however, the restaurant needs a serious cleaning. Front window is full of dust, dead flies, the floors are gross, crud in the corners etc. The entire place needs to be scrubbed down and possibly change the decor to something that makes you want to sit and enjoy your meal. The place has zero atmosphere and they really need to address the room temperature beer that is served.
