Was Lucia at Arrea! a mag?
Following the recommendations they offered us, we were able to enjoy some delicious products from the Kuadra menu in a very pleasant atmosphere. I would highlight the toasted bread with wild boar, the wild boar burger, the grilled hearts and the pikillos. Although everything we tried was a real treat for his palate. We would repeat without hesitation! View all feedback.

The dinner has been of group, therefore, there has been disparity of criteria, most of us have got the menu and for me the price quality seems right and correct, I will certainly repeat. Congratulations for your second sun

Quite simply one of my favorite eating experiences of my life and one I will never forget. We were there from what seemed like open to close for the full tasting menu. If you are an adventurous eater, this is a place you must find your way to. I would love to return if I ever find myself back in Basque Country! We did not expect, but appreciated that the staff spoke English with us.

If you go for the Arrea tasting menu here are some things I wish I knew: 1) this is very much a nose to tail restaurant. They use all the parts of animal liver, tongue, liver blood, brains, etc. They are very committed to local tastes and combining the meats with the berries or fruits of their ecosystem. There is a good bit of lichen used throughout the meal. 2) the tasting menu is €125. There is a smaller Menudeldia you can do for €54. The more expensive one included about 20+ dishes 3) if you do the tasting menu it includes a spread of meats, and tastes that are plays on traditional pinxtos and also comes with three “passes” which means you pick the animal and they give you three preparations of that animal. We picked crab, trout and pigeon. 4) the service is impeccable but not everyone speaks English. That’s okay. They give you a very helpful book that tells you what you are eating but I did miss out on some of the finer details shared when presenting the food like how they prepared it or aged it or whatever. I did like that the chef came out and presented to us. 5) the drive there is a bit out of the way and google maps had us take all few interesting roads that I’m not sure were roads. Overall a unique experience and like nothing I’ve ever done before. Some of the dishes might be a little too precious but overall, it was a great experience. It took us about 2.5 hours to dine. I do think they need to make their website clearer about the options for dining.
