Went here for dinner for the first time in many years and was impressed by the total update to what is more of a club than a pub with all the entertainment area... read more Went here for dinner for the first time in many years and was impressed by the total update to what is more of a club than a pub with all the entertainment areas for Sports and having a flutter as well as bar and food options. The staff were warm, friendly and efficient. The menu is extensive with a large variety of normal, Seniors and Childrens meals on offer. Get your own drinks from the bar then order meals at the end of the bar for service to your table. All meals at our table arrived in good time considering the Bistro was full, were hot and no complaints about the quality or quantity. Being in a High Street shopping area and backing onto a huge parking area i can see why this is a bustling local favourite.

However, our recent visit was... read more We used to visit Windere every two months to catch up with former colleagues, as we always received outstanding service and food. However, our recent visit was a disappointment. We waited over an hour for our meals, only for two out of the ten people in our group to receive their food before the kitchen experienced issues. When my meal finally arrived, it was cold and had to be reheated in the microwave. The explanation given was that the restaurant was particularly busy that day. Despite having made a reservation a month in advance, it seemed like they were not equipped to handle the large number of customers. As a result, our group has decided not to return, which is unfortunate. It would have been nice if someone had acknowledged the poor service and apologized, but unfortunately, no one bothered.
