However, our recent visit was... read more We used to visit Windere every two months to catch up with former colleagues, as we always received outstanding service and food. However, our recent visit was a disappointment. We waited over an hour for our meals, only for two out of the ten people in our group to receive their food before the kitchen experienced issues. When my meal finally arrived, it was cold and had to be reheated in the microwave. The explanation given was that the restaurant was particularly busy that day. Despite having made a reservation a month in advance, it seemed like they were not equipped to handle the large number of customers. As a result, our group has decided not to return, which is unfortunate. It would have been nice if someone had acknowledged the poor service and apologized, but unfortunately, no one bothered.

An incredible number of covers. But the hard-working chef and his staff don't miss it, presenting way-above-average fare. The Orange and Fig Chicken never fails... a must-try if you are in the area.

We were extremely pleased at what we f... read more My daughter and her partner just moved into a house around the corner and we decided to try out the local pub for dinner. We were extremely pleased at what we found. This hotel had more of a club feel than a hotel. Plenty of...helpful and polite staff to assist you. The menu had plenty to choose from and it also had a seniors section for smaller and cheaper meals. Pokies, keno and TAB are also there for your enjoyment if you wish. We had four main meals, three desserts and all were scrumptious. The only downer for me was and it was a small downer, the coffee was bland and weak for my liking. We will definitely visit every time we are down visiting the family again.
