the food was fresh, tasty and the service was fast. we first wanted to go to another restaurant. there was a long line (even if we could see empty tables there). The food is ok, but the prices are a bit high for what you could get here in general. Take note however this is a tourist area and closes really early (around 3-4? so there aren't a lot still open for dinner. The seasonal stuff is great. I got the cod roe pot which is decent View all feedback.
Great fresh fish right in the market. Speciality is kaisen don or raw fish on rice. Unlike chirashizushi the rice is not flavoured. The food was great, they have an English language menu, but the daily specials are handwritten in Japanese on a chalkboard. Prices are moderate, not cheap.

Truly disappointed with the quality of food and level of service!! We arrived well before the closing time (2 hours) and ordered a course meal. Every food that was served was cold (excluding cold dishes like sashimi) and waiter didn't give any explanation whatsoever. We visited and expected to eat something nice in Kanazawa, it was really disappointing experience.
Fabulous fish and produce market filled with Japanese big males and personal chefs, the only ones who have time to cook with fresh food. fascinating, inviting environment. ask them before taking pictures, seems to be the label.
In the interior of the omicho fish market. the chirashi bowl is just delicious. omicho market has amazing fresh seafood all pieces were delicious!
