It had more than just heat,... read more I took on the challenge of trying the Spicy Tan Tan Men (Inferno) in Katsuura. It was incredibly spicy, but I managed to finish it! It had more than just heat, there was also plenty of flavor. My wife ordered the omurice and my son ordered the curry, but overall the portions were huge. The staff was friendly and it was a pleasant experience.

Located on the right hand side, this cafe and snack shop offers a relaxing atmosphere where you can enjoy a variety of dishes such as Katsuura tantanmen, curry, pasta, waffles, and ice cream. They open from 11am, making it a great spot for an early lunch in Okitsu. While there are other Chinese and soba restaurants in front of the station, they may have irregular hours and be closed at times. Dolphin clearly displays their business hours, providing peace of mind to customers. I tried the curry and Katsuura tantanmen, both of which were delicious. Additionally, they are connected to a nearby store where you can buy croquettes and other items.

Shundan's Katsuura tantanmen is my favorite flavor among all the options. The chashu is thick and satisfying, and delicious.
