What User doesn't like about Tumbleweeds Neighbourhood Pub:
They used to be halfway decent...they'd even offer the option of bone in or out. Well something's changed and not for the better. The ribs are not ribs...they're teeny tiny pieces of dried out pork hidden in a hard shell of course crumbs then deep fried to death. Hard...tasteless...minuscule morsels - definitely nothing resembling dried garlic ribs I've had in other establishments. Hubby had some overdone spud skins... View all feedback.
Four of us went for lunch. Specials were tomato soup and fish and chips. I had the soup, which was like they had added a bit of milk to some tomato juice, no thickening, no flavour. One of us had fish and chips, which was dried out, over deep fried and bits of burnt left overs from the deep fryer were mixed with the French fries. Another had a Thai salad or something like that which was over sauced and soggy and not delicious. The other had the grilled cheese with bacon in it. He was polite and said it was okay but it looked pretty sad, too. The waitress was nice, but was careful not to come by and ask if everything was okay...were we enjoying our meal, etc. When it was time for the bill, she cleared away the plates and again didn't ask if we enjoyed it. She was avoiding the answer, I'm sure...
Everything you would expect from a local pub. I ate there with a group of friends, everything tastes good and the drinks are cold so I was happy.

Hubby had some overdone spud skins - a fair portion but ridiculously crammed onto a too small plate making the eating experience kinda awkward. On the plus side, service was okay and the beer selection is good.
Just stopped in on my way through to the coast and got the Tandoori bites, a burger, and a beer. The bites were pretty good and a decently solid beer selection. The burger on the other hand had very obviously been taking a bath by both the speed at which it came out and the amount of liquid that poured out it which was pretty disappointing. Seems like a pretty sweet spot, I just wouldn't recommend any of the burgers.
