Kwan's Chinese Restaurant - Kamloops

I stop by this restaurant for lunch today. Upon walking into the restaurant it was probably 32 degrees inside. It was like a wall of heat hit me as soon as I walked in. Not sure if the air conditioning was broken or they just had the heat on because it was a little cooler outside (21 as opposed to the plus 40s we were getting last week). I decided to try the buffet for lunch. Everything was hot and the things that were supposed to be crispy were, the food was not overly greasy. Everything tasted pretty good. Overall they had a really great selection of stuff for lunch. I probably would have rated them a for had it not been so hot in the restaurant. It was quite uncomfortable and my face is sweating from the heat within a couple of minutes. I legitimately could only sit there for about 10 minutes. I didn't get a chance to fully enjoy the food. Just shoveled it in and lock the restaurant 10 minutes after I got there. I would definitely try it again in hopes that it isn't so hot inside. The food was actually good which is more than I can say for most of the Chinese places I've tried in this town.

Pepper salt squid with a Tsingtao beer, and finish with the wor wonton, that's our indulgence! Service good, everything fresh.

We entered Kwans Restaurant on the evening of Sat. July 23/16 .A gentleman met us at the door and ushered us to ours seats and asked what we would like to drink.We had the buffet and everything we ate was hot, fresh and and wonderful. We ate shrimp, vegetables, along with all types of other dishesThe atmosphere was so quiet and inviting. The wonton soup was fantastic also. The best part for me was the dessert. People must go and enjoy Kwans food when they can! We have friends that go there once a week.We Definately will return on our next visit to Kamloops. Thanks J382

I go th.ere for lunch once in a while. The price is good and food is good, though not as big a variety as other places they are not asking too much. Good value for your money

The choices are magnificent. From pot stickers to won ton. My favorite beans and pork is always tasty. Unlike many other buffets there is a real effort to have the freshest food on hand during the 3 hour window. I have been there at the beginning and the end and the food has been fresh at 2 pm and 11:30 am. It is an epicurean delight
