Gyldi's Pizza - Kamloops

Most of the Pizza is good or better than other family owned, but the lasagne is not something to be desired. Unfortunately, It's not really that easy to get lasagna to go in Kamloops. Pickins are slim. . I'd say Gyldi's pasta is better than Boston pizza but that's not saying much. One great thing is they give you gyldi's card worth $1.00 when you pick up your order and if you live near by and like pizza, it adds up!..

Worst pizza I have ever had. Cheese was overcooked, had no flavour, hardly any ingredients on it at all. When I was carrying the box out to my car, it felt like an empty box, it was so light. I usually order from Domino's. Hands down, Domino's is a thousand times better! To add to the poor experience, there was a tire and toolbox in the middle of the dining area that some employee had placed there. Is this a pizza joint or a tire shop? Sorry Gyldi's, you get 0 out of 10 from me.

We ordered for delivery the BBQ chicken. Wow was it ever delicious! Super tasty, juicy and not at all greasy. We also got baked spaghetti with our order. A tiny bit light on the sauce and for me, a total whimp, a wee bit too spicy. But also very good. It also came with a salad. Crisp and nice. Huge portions, small price.

My wife and I ordered calzones here. I had the chicken Caesar and my wife had the Cordon Bleu. The chicken Caesar was basically chicken lunch meat with under cooked onions and some other toppings inside. It was just OK for me. I've made better at home and expected more but for $8 it's reasonable. My wife's Cordon Bleu was good for her. You won't be blown away by the portion size but you won't go hungry either. Good for a cheap meal. We also got the pita bread which was not good. I wouldn't recommend ordering that.

We have been looking for a good pizza place since the one we used to love shut down. These guys have excellent pizza. It's got great flavour (we love the sauce), lots of toppings and just good old pizza. There are a number of varieties. We love the BBQ chicken and the Gyldie's special. Ordering is easy and can also be done online and delivery is quick and friendly. They have a North and a South shore location here in Kamloops.
