Bistro Bispegaarden - Kalundborg

Bispegården is both a restaurant and an art museum. The latter is very interesting, exposing mostly local artists, and there is no admission fee.

My wife and I had dinner and lunch here, and were really impressed by the food and the historical setting. We were indoors for dinner, but sat out back in the courtyard for lunch on a sunny Easter Friday. Tasty food with the emphasis on the vegetables rather than the meat, but that said dinner included the best roast lamb we have had for a long time. Good service and nice wine and soft drinks.

Best restaurant in Kalundborg. Very affordable. Excellent service. Centrally located next to the historical church.

On the day of out visit the weather was perfect so we got to sit in the restaurants backyard, which is an extremely nice spot and highly recommend if the weather allows it. The lunch menu is quite a short read but the quality of the food high and I’ll definitely recommend the burger witch is a bit different but very very good. On the negative side there is no kids dishes so we got them to make to special versions of there burger, which ended up ok, but an small children dish of some kind should be added to the menu in my opinion. The good service from the staff gives the Bistro its 4 it of 5
